CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the most prominent phytocannabinoid compounds present in hemp andCannabis Sativa L.(cannabis) plants. CBD is a naturally occurring compound which has been associated with potential inflammation reduction and soothing of discomfort when applied topically, according to a recent study from theEuropean Journal of Pain. Research continues to yield promising results, with additional studies relating to pain and inflammation currently ongoing.

Cannabinoids are the most distinctive class of compounds that are known to exist specifically in the cannabis and hemp plant, and they are believed to be responsible for protecting the plant and improving certain physiological processes. Any cannabinoid that is derived from the cannabis and hemp plant such as CBD is referred to as a phytocannabinoid, while naturally produced cannabinoids inside the human body are referred to as endocannabinoids. The human body naturally produces six known endogenous cannabinoids, which help regulate the human body and promote homeostasis by interacting and binding to the human body’s Endocannabinoid system (ECS).

Similar to cannabinoids, terpenes are small molecules that are naturally produced by the hemp and cannabis plant. Every plant on earth produces terpenes, however cannabis and hemp are unique as 120 different terpenes have been identified from their oil production. Plants such as cannabis use terpenes as tools to heal and protect wounds, discourage fungi and bacteria attacks, in addition to an astounding array of other functions. These naturally produced compounds can work in tandem with cannabinoids when administered to the human body, to help encourage synergistic effects known as the Entourage Effect.

Since Phytocannabinoids in the cannabis plant work together to complement, enhance or modulate one another, some experts and key opinion leaders believe that keeping them together in their most naturally occurring form is more effective, a process known as the entourage effect. These synergistic effects are optimized when all of the plants naturally occurring compounds are present, including terpenes, cannabinoids, and small amounts of THC.

The human body has a sophisticated system that was discovered more recently than the widely known systems in the body that perform specific functions: digestive, circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems just to name few. This newly discovered system is called the endogenous cannabinoid system, frequently referred to as the endocannabinoid system or ECS for short. Our bodies Endocannabinoid system is responsible for modulating different systems in our body, in addition to promoting overall homeostasis. The bodies ECS regulates pain sensation, and some scientists believe that many human ailments including pain and inflammation are a result of an imbalance in the ECS, which can benefit from introducing phytocannabinoids such as CBD.

While there are many different products on the market that claim to have CBD in them, there are three different forms of CBD, and the specific type that is in your product makes a dramatic difference in the end result. The three different types of CBD are:

• CBD Isolate: Only contains CBD isolated by itself, without any other beneficial phytocannabinoids or terpenes. CBD isolate is the cheapest to purchase, and often the first choice for manufactures of CBD products.
• Broad-Spectrum CBD: Broad spectrum CBD retains most of the cannabis plant compounds such as trace phytocannabinoids and terpenes, however it often has no THC whatsoever, which can prohibit some of the beneficial synergy brought on by the entourage effect.
• Full-Spectum CBD: Full-Spectrum CBD includes all parts of the cannabis plant including important phytocannabinoids and terpenes, in addition to <0.3% THC. Full-Spectrum CBD is the closest form to the original plant as it exists in nature, which we believe is essential to delivering a positive therapeutic benefit.

A QR code is located on the back label of all Entourus topicals, which can be scanned using the camera on any smart phone. After scanning this QR code, you will be directed to a digital folder containing analytical lab test results for your specific product. This lab result is referred to as a COA (Certificate Of Analysis), which will provide specific information regarding the hemp derived ingredients, in addition to demonstrating that there are no harmful contaminants.

CBD (Cannabidiol) is non-intoxicating unlike its counterpart THC, which is the main active ingredient in cannabis products, responsible for the “high” that is often reported after consumption. For this reason, using our topicals will not result in you experiencing a euphoric high, or any form of intoxication. While not intoxicating, CBD is psychoactive, meaning it may result in a calming and relaxed sensation following the use of an Entourus topical on your body.

Our CBD Essentials Salves are offered in three distinct doses: 1000, 1500, and 2000 MG per 50 ML container. Several factors may influence product choice, such as severity of pain, size of the area needing coverage, and prior experience using other products that act on the body’s endocannabinoid system.

Traditionally, many of the processes used to obtain essential oils involve either distillation under high heat, or the use of solvents, which can both impact the final quality of the oils. Our CBD Essentials products only use cold-pressed and steam distilled oils, which are always solventless, providing clean and pure isolated essential oils for our salves.

All CBD Essentials salves have a pleasant and refreshing citrus aroma, with aromatic notes of sweet lemon, medicinal herbs, and floral botanical undertones.

All Entourus Salves should be generously applied to the affected area and gently massaged into the skin until absorbed. We recommend using your hands to gently work the salve into the skin, watching as it absorbs within just a few minutes. Re-apply throughout the day as needed.
